Microsoft Product IntegrationOne of our specialties at afflux Consulting Group is business system integration and information management. Microsoft CRM
Microsoft Business Systems CRM® is a client/server application
designed to manage customer for small and medium businesses. This
CRM Factsheet provides an excellent
overview of CRM 1.2. Afflux has migrated data to new CRM
installations, created custom synchronization services for data
integrity between disparate systems, customizations to the CRM UI,
written custom reports using SQL Server Reporting Services, created
executive dashboards and exposed CRM data to users using SharePoint
Portal Server 2003.
Microsoft Office Integration The software engineers at afflux are experienced Office application builders. Just what is an Office application? Office applications are hosted within Microsoft Office System® products like Excel, Word or
InfoPath. An Office application is usually bound to a source of data in a
company that is necessary for processing a report or a form. The Office product
hosting the application aids in implementing the user interface commensurate
with the functions performed. That is, Excel is perfect for number and graph
presentations, Word is ideal for letters and textual reports, and InfoPath is
perfect for forms. Our engineers create the programming code necessary to make
your Office products come alive with your data in ways the 'boxed'
products by themselves cannot.
Microsoft SharePoint Portal Server 2003 What is a portal? A portal is a web-based point of integration for data and applications, usually personalized for the user. Portals can exist on Corporate Intranets for internal users or Extranets for business partners. SharePoint® Portal Server 2003 enables a single point of access to multiple
systems such as Microsoft Office System® programs, business intelligence and
project management systems, and existing line-of-business applications,
including third-party and industry-specific programs. The portal, built on a
scalable, highly distributed architecture, provides flexible tools for
deployment, development, and management, all of which enable the portal to grow
with your organization’s needs. These integration features enable you to harness
information to make use of your company’s resources. Users can extract and reuse
timely and relevant information from systems and reports, and quickly locate and
access documents, projects, and best practices across the company. The portal
features search technology developed by Microsoft Research that enables you to
search file shares, Web servers, Microsoft Exchange Server® public folders,
Lotus Notes, and Windows SharePoint® Services sites out of the box. In addition,
you can organize documents and information by topic and browse for relevant
content. Alerts notify you when new information is added or existing information
changes to help you better use the data. Microsoft Small Business Server 2003 Premium What are the advantages of Small Business Server? Microsoft Small Business Server is a bundled set of products designed to make the deployment of a server in a small business more of a DIY affair.
